Our Design Service fee schedule is as follows:

  • The initial consultation is free.
  • Design time is $75.00 per hour; Time starts at your door.
  • We charge a minimum of four (4) hours.  Most designs require 4-6 hours
  • Additional fee for sites greater than 45 miles driving distance from the Tri-cities in Benton/Franklin County.
  • 10% discount for current Heritage Maintenance customers.
  • We offer a full credit of the Design Fee for any contracted work performed by Heritage Professional Landscaping within 6 months of the Design Invoice.

For this fee, you will get:

  • Two copies of accurate, easy to read drawings in color
  • Timeline for implementing the plan.
  • Description of plants used within the plan.
  • Installation recommendations.

The Design Process:

Our relationship begins with your initial contact to us.  If this is a phone call, we will gather initial information on what you are looking to accomplish.  We will set a time to meet and take a look at your project on site whether it is the site of your new home or business.  It is never too early in the building process to meet.  In fact, the sooner we see the site the more opportunity we have to work with you and your building contractor to layout grading issues, additional electrical outlets,  and any other items that will help to make the process smoother for all involved.  You can expect to meet with a Heritage Project Manager and/or Designer up to one (1) week after this phone call depending on the season and schedules.

In between our initial contact and our meeting face to face you will need to start thinking more in depth about what you want in your project.  Are there any areas that are too sunny? Too windy? Do you have problems with drainage?  Would you like more privacy?  Do you see a deck, patio, pool, or water feature in your project?

You will also need to start thinking about a budget.  Keep in mind that your work can be divided into phases, so think about a yearly budget rather than the project as a whole.

The beginning of our landscape design service starts with a walk through of the property with you to discuss what you are looking for and to mutually exchange design ideas for the future landscape area. We then take measurements and digital photos.  In most cases, a design will not be accomplished at the initial consultation. After the designer returns to the office and reviews the scope of work for the project we will schedule a follow-up visit and at this time we present you with a detailed computer aided landscape design complete with detailed installation notes and site dependent details, legends quantifying plants and materials, and a suggested sequence for installation. The designs are easy to follow with on plan legends for installation.  If you are also looking to have your landscape installed we can provide an estimate and proposal to help assist you during your landscape installation.
